Celebrating Syrian Culture Days
Under the slogan “My Culture, My Identity” from November 23 to 26, 2020, and by the commission of Dr. Lubana Mushawah, Minister of Culture, the Director-General of Antiquities and Museums, Mr. Mohammad Nazeer Awad, inaugurated the Exhibition of Recovered Archaeological Treasures along with artworks by pioneering artists at the National Museum in Damascus on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 11:00 AM.
The opening was attended by a large number of guests interested in archaeological heritage, students from the Department of Archaeology at Damascus University, many staff members of the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums, and representatives of the media.
In addition, a group of Syrian youth who participated in the volunteer campaign to clean the National Museum in Damascus on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, attended the event. The campaign was initiated by Noor Association for Relief and Development and Evco Company, in cooperation with the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
